UCL Pearl Seating Project

The Year 12 Engineering students met with Professor Nick Tyler from UCL PEARL and Mr Fraser Donaldson from Showcase Interiors to discuss the next stages of their seating design projects.

The event is to support the students in developing their designing, engineering and project management skills, all of which are required not just to qualify for their qualification but also in their development as engineers.

The project is to design seating for the reception area to the PEARL building that is required to be inclusive and manufactured from sustainable materials.

The students received some excellent guidance that will enable them to complete their development work and prepare for their final presentations taking place later on in March.
